DAY 1

Helsinki

Upon arrival in Helsinki, you are met and privately transferred to your hotel. Explore the city the way you like it!

DAY 2

Kemi

A short flight brings you to northern Kemi, on the shores of the Gulf of Bothnia. This is when the fun begins in real earnest. On this day, you will witness a castle made entirely out of ice and hop aboard an ice-breaker cruise ship. You might have been on many a cruise but nothing like the Ice Breaker Sampo. During the cruise you will get to know the icebreaker from the engine room to the bridge. After lunch, put on your floating suits and plunge in ice-cold waters with a few other fellow crazies for company. Disembark from the cruise after a crazy ‘Float with the Icebergs’ experience and head to the snow castle of Kemi, which is right out of the fairytales

DAY 2

Kemi

DAY 3

Rovaniemi

Drive to Rovaniemi, the home of Santa Claus where you will be transferred to your chic base at Arctic Light Hotel. First things first, you ought to get acquainted with the breathtaking region that awaits you with a visit to Arktikum Museum, where you’ll discover a history reaching back to the pre-historic era. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading out to the Metsäkyly Forest for a spa experience like no other. In a private setting amongst the trees,relax in the outdoor jacuzzi as it bubbles away beneath the Arctic winter skies. You’ll ramp things up again in the evening as you head out into the night on a snowmobile. But this isn’t any ordinary snowmobile ride. As you ride out into the magic of the snowy forests, keep your eyes on the sky for any sign of the Northern Lights. Once, you’re in position simply sit back,as your guide lights a fire, and enjoy a picnic with a glass of warming Lappish berry juice,waiting for the Lights to appear overhead.

This morning, you’ll take in mesmerising views of the snow-covered forests and hills from a husky sled. Having met the team and given them a whistle, speed across the snow to a soundtrack of dogs panting and snow flying before stopping off to visit Father Christmas in his workshop in Santa Claus Village in the afternoon. You’ll then meet some of his most trusted helpers at a local reindeer farm. Chat to the herders and feed the reindeer a few of their favourite snacks, before heading out for a magical evening of Aurora Borealis hunting,in a sleigh pulled by a few of Rudolph- the reindeer’s friends.

After you’ve explored Rovaniemi to your heart’s content, it’s time to go to a snow haven 30 kms outside Rovaniemi.  Stunning beds are carved out of ice. Artic-style sleeping bags are provided to guests so they keep warm as they doze off.  Don’t miss the outdoor jacuzzi for the world – there is nothing quite like sitting in a hot tub in the middle of an Arctic forest and
feeling warm when it’s -20°C out. You can count stars and if you’re lucky, you can spot the mysterious Northern Lights.

DAY 6

Helsinki

Fly to the beautiful Helsinki. This morning, embark on a tour of the sights of Helsinki. Enter the famous Temppeliaukio Church; built directly into solid rock, it is fittingly known as Rock Church. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and then spend the afternoon exploring the city at your own pace.

We know you don’t like it but its time to bid goodbye to this magical winter wonderland and head home.
